Welcome to the website of the Economic & Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Norway.

Norway is a Scandinavian country with beautiful nature and abundant resources. It has been rewarded as the world’s best country to live in by the United Nations for 6 years since 2001.

Norway is endowed with abundant oil & gas resources. It ranks as the world’s third largest oil exporter only after Saudi Arabia and Russia. It is also the third gas exporter after Russia and Canada. Due to the rich resources of water, fish, forest and minerals, Norway enjoys advanced industries of offshore oil, shipping, hydropower, metallurgy, chemicals and wood processing, and has developed leading technologies in these fields in the world.

The economies of China and Norway are mutually complementary with great potentials for further development. As a window from the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM), this website provides you with helpful information on Chinese economic policy, regulations, rules, trade news, Sino-Norwegian relation etc. The economic and commercial office of the Chinese Embassy will make every effort to promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation to the business communities of both countries.

I sincerely hope that the Sino-Norwegian economic relations continue to develop in a consistent, healthy and rapid way.
